Setareh Ebrahimian is an associate in the firm's Washington D.C. Metro office. She represents employers of all sizes in a wide range of employment matters in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration. Setareh defends employers facing discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims, allegations of violations of leave, issues surrounding wage and hour laws, enforcement of non-competes, and claims arising under state and local laws. Additionally, she represents companies in investigations by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and related state and local agencies, and before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in arbitration claims for securities industry Form U-5 defamation and related claims.
Setareh is a firm believer that preventative advice is key to minimizing exposure to litigation, and regularly advises employers on day-to-day matters such as hiring, training, employee handbooks and policies, reasonable accommodations and protected leave, discipline and terminations, reductions in force, internal investigations, and regulatory compliance, among others.
Setareh has represented both employees and employers in employment disputes, giving her a unique perspective that greatly enhances her ability to craft defense strategies.
