Ms. Chen is a strategic courtroom advocate who has helped numerous employers navigate through complex disputes from pre-litigation negotiations to final resolution. As a litigator, her practice includes representation of employers in a range of employment matters, with special emphasis on wage and hour class actions and whistleblower retaliation claims. She has assisted Fortune 500 conglomerates and local companies achieve highly favorable outcomes in Private Attorneys General Act (“PAGA”) and class disputes, and has second-chaired an arbitration where she successfully cross-examined adverse witnesses. Ms. Chen has also assisted her clients in overturning lower court decisions before the California Court of Appeal. Additionally, her language capabilities have proven to be invaluable to her clients.
As an advisor, Ms. Chen counsels clients on employment best practices and compliance issues with an eye towards optimal risk management. She regularly drafts employee handbooks, arbitration agreements, employment agreements, and other employment contracts and policies.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Chen was an associate at a national litigation firm where she represented both domestic and international companies in employment and commercial litigation matters.
