Lydia M. Middleton
Lydia Middleton is an associate in the firm’s Kansas City office. Her practice includes counseling and defending employers in all areas of labor and employment law.
While in law school, Lydia was a staffmember of the UMKC Law Review, Moot Court Board, Founder and President of the KCMBA-Student Association, and ABA Representative for the Student Bar Association. She also competed as a member of UMKC’s ABA Negotiation Team, was a top ten oralist in Appellate Advocacy, was a finalist in UMKC’s 1L Mock Trial competition, and was a participant in the Ellison Moot Court Competition.
Lydia also clerked with the Missouri Commission on Human Rights (MCHR) and two local law firms where she focused on employment matters. Prior to joining Fisher Phillips as an associate, she worked at the firm as a law clerk, assisting with drafting employee policy manuals, responding to charges of discrimination, pre-litigtion drafting, and research.
