Lanette Suarez is an associate in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office. She represents clients in all areas of labor and employment law including employment discrimination and retaliation claims, wage and hour disputes, and employment policies and procedures.
Lanette received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law with a concentration in Litigation and Dispute Resolution. She was the Executive Editor for the University of Miami Law Review and the author of the Comment, Restraints, Seclusion and the Disabled Student, 71 U. Miami. L. Rev. 859 (2017). She was also a member of the Hispanic Law Students Association and a Miami Law Student Ambassador. She received the CALI Award for Excellence in Mediation, Civil Procedure, and Litigation Structure: Transition to Practice Seminar.
While in law school, Lanette served as a summer judicial intern for the Honorable Jose E. Martinez in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Prior to law school, Lanette was a 2012 Teach for America Corps Member where she taught Kindergarten in Miami.
Lanette is fluent in Spanish.
