Lauren Bever is an associate in Fisher Phillip’s Chicago office. Her practice is the defense of employment-related lawsuits, including claims arising under Title VII, the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (AEDA), and various other federal and state anti-discrimination statutes and employment laws. She represents employers in state and federal courts and before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, and other local and state fair employment practices agencies.
Lauren’s experience includes conducting numerous depositions in discrimination, sexual harassment and retaliation litigation. These cases required extensive discovery, including ESI, which demonstrated her dedication to providing thorough, high quality work for her clients. She has also represented employers in class action suits brought under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) and can counsel clients on BIPA information and compliance. In addition to litigation experience, she has negotiated favorable settlements for employers through mediation and settlement conferences.
Her practice also includes advising clients on various employment related issues, including restrictive covenants, handbook policies, terminations and separation agreements, and workplace trainings.
Lauren is a proud member of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois and enjoys traveling during her personal time.
