Janice Strong is an associate in the firm's Portland office. She represents employers with a variety of employment, litigation and immigration needs including defending claims of retaliation and wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, contract disputes, independent contractor issues and global immigration. She also advises and provides training to employers on issues related to workplace discrimination, family leave, non-competition, non-solicitation, and non-disclosure agreements and the implementation and enforcement of appropriate personnel policies and procedures.
Janice graduated from Stanford University and Stanford Law School. The daughter of a US Diplomat, she lived in Central and South America and Canada during her K-12 years and she continues to travel extensively. She has been awarded various legal honors for her work in the community including the Father Cuchulain Moriarity Award for outstanding representation of indigent refugees by the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights.
