José Klein is an associate in the firm's Portland office. He represents and advises public and private sector employers on a full range of labor and employment law issues. José is experienced in negotiating collective bargaining agreements favorable to employers. In addition, he regularly advises clients on the interpretation of collective bargaining agreements and disciplinary matters so as to avoid grievances. If the matter is advanced to litigation, José is both an able negotiator in mediation and not afraid to take matters to trial or arbitration. He has litigated labor and employment matters in court and in arbitration settings with superior results to clients.

Following law school, José served as a Judicial Clerk to the Honorable Martha L. Walters of the Oregon Supreme Court. He was also an honors attorney at the Oregon Department of Justice (DOJ).
