Bethanie is an associate in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Her practice is focused on employment litigation and preventive counseling.

As a litigator, Bethanie has achieved stellar results for her clients including summary judgment, dismissal with prejudice under California’s anti-SLAPP statute, and successfully compelling employment disputes to arbitration.

Bethanie partners with her client’s key stakeholders to navigate problematic employee relations issues and to develop compliant practices, in all areas of employment law, including disability accommodation and the interactive process, equal pay audits, paid sick leave and compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).  Bethanie also provides in-house training to managerial employees, on topics ranging from anti-harassment to workplace violence prevention.  She was a guest lecturer at California State University, Long Beach for a collegiate Human Resources class on employee discipline and terminations. Additionally, Bethanie assists employers in drafting employee handbooks, personnel policies, and employment agreements.

In law school, Bethanie served as the Executive Symposium Editor for the Emory International Law Review and enjoyed the privilege of having her comment, on international adoptions, selected for publication. She also served as an extern for the Honorable Kimberley Esmond Adams in Fulton County Superior Court.  

Prior to law school, Bethanie was an elementary school teacher and a Teach for America Corps Member in the Metro Atlanta region.
