Overview
Annie Reese is a member of the firm’s SBA Loan Team, dedicated to advising employers on the inner workings of the complex CARES Act loan process during the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
Annie Reese is an associate in the firm's Atlanta office. Annie counsels and represents employers before state and federal courts and agencies in a wide range of employment issues including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and retaliation. Annie has also successfully handled litigation relating to trade secrets; restrictive covenants with non-competition, non-solicitation, and non-disclosure provisions; deceptive trade practices under state and federal law; and the duty of loyalty.
Annie has a background in healthcare litigation and has represented hospital systems, healthcare providers, and insurers in cases involving questions of agency and credentialing. She frequently advises healthcare clients regarding HIPAA requirements, documentation obligations like audit trails, and policies concerning independent contractors.
Annie earned her Juris Doctor degree from Georgia State University College of Law where she was a member of the Law Review and served the Board as the Student Writing Editor. During law school, Annie was active in moot court and advanced to the semi-final round of the Cardozo Entertainment Law Moot Court Competition.
