Abigail H. Kofman
Abby Kofman is Of Counsel in the firm's Fort Lauderdale office. She concentrates her practice on defending employers in state and federal court litigation and arbitration on a wide variety of employment-related claims, including claims arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Florida Civil Rights Act, the Florida Private Whistleblower Act, and Section 440.205 of the Florida Workers' Compensation Act.
Abby also represents employers charged with employment discrimination before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Florida Commission on Human Relations and various local agencies.
Additionally, Abby counsels clients on preventative measures as well as day-to-day legal issues that arise in the workplace to ensure compliance with employment laws.
She has also been recognized as a Florida Super Lawyers - Rising Star since 2015.
