Overview

Amanda Caldwell is Of Counsel in the New Jersey office. Amanda has extensive litigation experience representing employers in a wide range of employment and labor disputes.

She has defended clients against actions filed in both state and federal courts for a variety of claims including, but not limited to, those based upon wrongful discharge, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Conscientious Employee Protection Act, tort claims and contract disputes. Amanda also has experience handling arbitrations, including proceedings before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). She has also handled a significant number of matters pending before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and New York and New Jersey state agencies.

Amanda dedicates a significant portion of her practice assisting and counseling clients in pre-litigation matters in addition to providing compliance and diversity training. Amanda joined the firm in 2005 after practicing with a New Jersey based law firm representing clients in connection with commercial disputes, products liability and premises liability.

After completing her first year in law school, she attended the International Institute of International Studies in Geneva, Switzerland where she studied international law.  Amanda is the author of "Causes, Consequences, and International Impact of the War in the Former Yugoslavia," published in the Rutgers Journal of Law and Religion in the spring of 2002. She is proficient in Spanish.
